I’m Calvin Bui, an advertising student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a minor in business, interested in building a career in marketing and advertising. I’m drawn to work that combines creativity and strategy, especially when it comes to understanding audiences, shaping strong messaging, and creating campaigns that make an impact. I enjoy turning ideas into something meaningful and finding ways for brands to connect with people in a clear and engaging way.

Along with my academic background, I have some professional experience in leadership, event management, and customer-facing roles that have helped me strengthen my communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. I’ve also gained project experience through campaign work involving audience research, creative strategy, media planning, and client presentations, which has given me a stronger understanding of how marketing ideas come together in real-world settings.
